I went to the salon. I hated it! -I either have a chemical burn or super irritated my psoriasis, hard to tell -styled my hair to look like a news anchor -took 2.5 hours -not sure if products used were 100% vegan -he talked the entiiiiiiiiiire time I was looking forward to having a relaxing experience and not having to be "on" -my hair looks drab not platnium

Man, I'm jealous of all of you who can pull of the pixie cut! I love the way it looks, but it wouldn't work at all with my face.
I'm moving from CO to FL in 3 weeks, and I'm about to have to re-learn how to deal with my hair in humidity. Not excited about that. My wavy/borderline curly hair turns into pure frizz.
Anyway, you guys all have AMAZING hair, and you have officially inspired me!

so, my hair like is 50% de-frizzing and 50% finding hairstyles that hide greasy unwashed hair. this is today's solution to the latter issue. headband and bun! it took some effort to get it ALL up and back and jeez buns feel heavy.

torque - hell yeah! Not noticing the difference is tantamount to walking into the wrong house and going about your business. Shame on Mr. T!
I can also attest to the cute and functional nature of Catalina's hair cut.
Hooray to everyone for being brave!

I got my hair chopped today! It used to be to my shoulders. The food is Ethiopian takeout. It doesn't seem like such a thing could exist due to messiness of Ethiopian food, but I just found out that it does, 5 minutes from my apartment! And they take student discounts! The box is like 5lbs!

How long did you give him to figure it out before you told him? hehe, he is not blind but he is in some ways such the dopey stereotype of a cute bumbling techie. Which is why we love him. Sprog and I were absolutely positive he wouldn't know. I think I told him about two hours after he came home from work. I have to add, this haircut has been so much better than any of the bobs i used to have in college- they used to always flip up at the ends and make me nuts. This one doesn't, not at all. The salon is definitely a keeper.

I'm thinking of doing something like this. A little different with the coloring. I just have to wait for my hair to grow out. It's currently just a little past my shoulders. And perhaps it's allready been mentioned but does anyone know if the chemicals used in a perm are vegan?

I'm trying to get brave enough to get all of my hair cut off today. I've never had any even remotely daring cuts, so this is a HUGE DEAL for me. This is what I'm wanting to get.

So I did this a while ago: Does anyone know of a turquoise dye that lasts longer than Manic Panic? This is fading crazy fast--I've touched it up as many times as I've washed it, it seems like it just doesn't want to stay. I might just switch to purple sooner than later.

Beyond the zone, also how long do you leave it in for? I'd sleep with the dye in and with a bonnet on as well as blow dry it to promote longevity.

I've slept with it in twice, but didn't blowdry.

Ooooh rad, kilgore trout! I've been missing my (pregan) teal streaks, and so far I haven't found a good substitute dye for them here in Austria.

I always end up unhappy when I get bangs, because they hairdresser never quite understands what I want. I like them kind of sloppy, and I think stylists are afraid to go too far or whatever. Totes just cut my own and I'm very happy with them.
