I have a haircut appointment on Tuesday for the first time in 6 months. No idea what to do!
This is what it looks like now. It's a few inches past shoulder length and normally less wavy than pictured. I probably don't want to do bangs, but not completely opposed.

You have pretty hair the way it is, but for a different look I think one of those chin length in the front, shorter in the back cuts would frame your face nicely. Especially if you don't want bangs and your hair is normally less wavy. My hair is more wavy than that, and when I had a short hair cut I had to use a straightener to make it look how the hairstylist did, so a flat iron may be in order for humid days.

Oooh I love this cut! I have both sides of my hair shaved but always wear it down, swept over to the right. It's about ten inches long at the moment but I've been considering getting it cut shorter. Thanks for the inspiration!

Glad you liked it!

I am permanently dissatisfied with my hair, always looking for some magical cut that will communicate my inner awesomeness but require almost no effort.

it is really nice! maybe just a few inches off so it's still past your shoulders? examine your bang history - i know everytime i've had bangs i've hated them - i have this weird cowlick in front and it's a disaster and way too much work for me to have bangs.

i was having this do i cut or grow it out thing, but then i remembered if i have long hair i get mad that it's in my face so i put it up but when i put it up it gives me a migraine so what am i doing?

Everyone knows that I am pro-bang, but don't cover up those eyebrows cause they're amazing.

My hair is currently horrible and I hate it. Brian's sister does my hair, and for about two years we just kept it my natural color plus some highlights so when it grew out you couldn't tell. And then when I quit my job she told me to do something fun with it, so I told her to do what she wanted so she made it lighter blonde with brown-based purple underneath and some purple pieces under my bangs. Then I went up there two weeks ago and she touched up the purple in her house because it was really faded, but she didn't tell me that she was using a different purple - I don't know what she used but it might as well have been Manic Panic (and if that's what she was going to do I would've preferred MP), because it's bright purple and unlike the salon dye she uses, is still bleeding. I had a bad reaction to the dye after I got home which resulted in me scratching my scalp, and when my fingers came away totally purple that was my only clue that I was going to have to seperate my hair to wash it. And I still have some lavender hair pieces and a few ruined shirt collars. And roots. Such long roots. I don't expect her to be at my beck and call for hair, but one of the reasons I kept it so normal for so long was so it wouldn't matter if I had to wait two months. If I go to someone local or do it myself she'll get mad at me so it's a lose/lose/lose.

tl;dr I'll be in the basement shaving my head.

Could you talk to her about the color bleeding and roots, or would she be ticked off? Did she not know the color would bleed?

I haven't had a professional haircut in at least 3-4 years. I had it long for a while, chopped it off myself a few times, but it's starting to look pretty gross. I'm letting it grow out again, but meanwhile, I need to get it evened out. Soooooo, I have my first appointment in forever today! Wish me luck.

Professional haircut! Pretty simple, but it's nice not having big chunks of hair that I missed, and the back is shorter than the front, instead of the other way around. I like it.

Me either. It's been for financial reasons (I'm amazed at how much money I've saved in the last six years by this alone!), but now I have the hang of it and will continue to cut it myself probably forever.

Getting the hair cut tomorrow. I'll probably do my standard pixie but maybe I'll get brave? I have an event to attend Friday, though, so doing something new could be scary. Meep.

AutumnVegan and creep, lovely haircuts!

I got mine cut yesterday. I've decided to grow it out. I'm in between colors. And the cat is my new permanent family member, Daniel.

So I cut like six inches off my hair in May, and last week decided to cut almost another six inches off my hair. It is now just above my shoulders. I miss my long hair *cries*

So, do those hair supplements actually help your hair grow?

I know, right? He's a fancy breed that I'd never heard of- a Laperm. He caught ringworm in the shelter and lost a lot of fur. But he's the best!

AV, the side sweep bangs are soooooooooo flattering on you! The whole cut is beautiful!

Creep, you look adorable in your new cut! I could never wear short bangs like that, but they look great on you.

Thanks!!
I cannot figure out how to style it anywhere near how the stylist did. She used a large round brush and a hair dryer, but my attempts yielded a fluffy mess of hair and required a curling iron. Womp womp.
