Going soon. I'm going to go with something purple! They screwed up and didn't give me a proper appointment yesterday, so I'm seeing a new stylist. Not thrilled about that, but he is their color educator and my usually stylist assured me he is the best.

I just ordered some henna! This will be my first time trying it, and I'm pretty excited. I can't wait for it to get here, and to have a day off so I can sit around with green goop in my hair!

Awesome, lavawitch! :D

I'm bored with my colour again, so I've decided to let my pixie cut grow out over the winter, and once it's a messy P J Harvey kind of length again, I'll decide on a colour for streaks (right now I'm leaning towards the only colour I've never had before, which is pink).

I'm trying this neat hairband curl technique tonight but my hair is so damn short it may not do anything. Growing out a pixie takes for god-damned ever! Someone remind me of this the next time I think I want to go short.

My hair has never held curl, but it's been so weird lately that I thought I would give it another try. It's as if the texture has changed... Anyway, I curled it using my straightening iron the other day, and it held until the next morning, which was unprecedented! Didn't even use any hairspray.

Too bad it takes a half hour to make it happen, because I really like the way it looks!

I've done that hairband curl thing- it definitely works, but my hair is long. It can get kind of messy though. I also like to use these curl rod things while I sleep sometimes:

allular! hot-cha-cha-cha! try putting your hair in mini buns while you sleep. it'll probably be a different kind of curl, but might also look nice.

It didn't work at all for me! Just gave me sort of hangover-looking hair. But that's because a) my hair is still pretty short (about chin-length) and I have the at-times irritating tendency to strip down in my sleep, removing anything providing even an ounce of annoyance. I will try it again when my hair is longer though.

Thanks! I've tried overnight curls before and they get suuuuuper tight to my head (think George Costanza's mom, but thicker and bigger), but this will be something I will try as my hair gets longer for sure.

Yes, the curls are fabulous (you too!). They are definitely worth the effort when you feel like it.

My hair is too heavy to hold curl.

LW, your hair looks great!
Allularpunk, I love those curls!

My hair's finally gotten super long, but the texture is really smooth, and I can't get it to do anything. I think I want to go back to short hair, but the price to maintain it is not appealing. I might do it anyway though. I really really miss my short hair - so much quicker to dry!

all you gals look gorge!

usually people look totally the opposite of how I think they will, but lavawitch, you look just as I thought you would!

and supercarrot, I'm interested in how selling your hair went. would love to see before and after pics :)

I just bought a pack of those curler rod thingies from the dollar store the other day, but haven't tried them yet. they look like the maximum amount of effort I will put into styling my hair.

I got my hair done last Saturday. I waited a couple days to wash it and washed it Tuesday morning and then yesterday (normally I wash it every other day but wanted to make sure the colored settled or whatever color does). I was in bed with damp hair and my pillow case is covered in purple streaks. Is this normal/to be expected?
