Those are cute. Have you looked at UncommomGoods.com? That place has some pretty cool jewelry.

They are tacky. I mean, I'd wear the hell out of them, because they are awesomely tacky, but it really depends on her style.

I like ridiculous things; I'm not sure if they're tacky enough.

I wouldn't call those tacky at all. If they were covered in glitter and feathers and featured a porcelain cherub, then they'd be tacky. They're just a pair of silver earrings.
I think silly or funny would be a better descriptor.
I have been no help. You are welcome.

I'd actually buy from you, but she doesn't like plush thingies

I love those earrings. If I wore earrings, I'd totally wear them. Hell, I might get my ears pierced just to wear those.

I think the earwires are clumsy but thats me being a picky jeweler. Nervous System makes some really cool stuff based in biology and made using CAD. Here's their etsy: http://www.etsy.com/shop/nervoussystem

I think it's a cute idea, but I'm afraid I'm going to have to say tacky. The stuff on this etsy site is gorgeous!!!

I'm going to be following this. I need GF ideas, too. I don't like doing jewelry because apparently I have bad taste because every piece of jewelry I've ever bought women has gone virtually unworn.

The original image isn't loading for me, but I think novelty earrings are always awesome (I had 8 sided die earrings as a nerdy child), and the stuff taco nite posted is lovely!

Go with that etsy seller!

The DNA earrings are a bit cheesy. They're trying to straddle the line between novelty and elegant and it's not working in their favor. All or nothing, baby.
