So I'm not a huge fan of the culture around Christmas in the US (and can't speak to it elsewhere because I have no experience)

But I AM a fan of the fact that people get me cool stuff sometimes

I'm wondering what the PPK is asking for for the holidays
People that don't celebrate/celebrate other holidays but exchange gifts are of course welcome here as well!

I make my list super early as that's what my parents appreciate.
I'm asking for

A Leatherman Wave
Studs and Spikes for clothings
Contigo Travel Mug
a Dreadlock Comb
In Search of the Lost Taste cookbook

Nothing super huge. Let's see lists!

I never have a list. And I know it drives my hubby and kids bonkers.
I mean there is stuff I like when I go shopping. But then I always think that I don't need it.
I am so bad at this.

I'm not a fan of it, either. But there are two things I like about Christmas:

-Looking at Christmas lights with a mug of hot cocoa & peppermint schanpps.
-Watching Home Alone 1 & 2.

Those are my traditions. I'm not asking for anything, but if someone were to get me a copy of Appetite for Reduction or a waffle iron I would love them forever.

I love sending out holiday cards to everyone I know! I don't send Christmas cards, since I'm an atheist and I know several people who are religious but not Christian. I use the pretty nature-themed seasonal stamps. But I do use stamps with angels on them for the religious folks in my family.

It's a great excuse to get addresses from people, and I kindof like being able to send snail-mail to everyone. It's becoming a lost art. I admire my grandparents for being able to keep up with people they met when they were in their twenties. They would always have a huge stack of Christmas cards to send out to people whose addresses they'd kept up with for 70 years.

I also love making holiday treats and wrapping them in little cellophane baggies to give to everyone. Last year I made gingerbread cookies in the shapes of reindeer, Christmas trees, ornaments, and leaves. I still haven't decided what to do this year, but I may go the candied nut mixture in a canning jar route this year.

I want, but am most likely not getting:
a 0 degree sleeping bag
and uh... that's really about it.

And books, which I'll probably get.

I am going to force my sister to do the "Sisters, sisters" song and dance from White Christmas with me this year. With fans!!

I asked for Grey Converse, Katamari Forever, and a Tofu Xpress.

I asked for a Nook but I think I want a Kindle instead. I should search the boards for e-reader reviews!

I also want Harry Potter 3, 4, 5, or 6 on audio/CD book
A pair of vegan Toms shoes in olive drab, grey, or black
Vegan marshmellows and toffees
and a fingerprint ring from my boyfriend hint, hint-- though I probably won't get this :(

I also have a "no" list I give my parents. Mostly because my dad is an excessive spender.
No iphone, no diamonds, and no tv or computer.
Asking for a Kindle is a big thing for me, I generally don't like expensive stuff.

Before I finished the sentence, I thought you were going to force your sisters to sing the "Sister, Sister" theme song... You know, the sitcom with Tia and Tamera Mowry.
