I just realized that after I try every new "amazingly meat-like" veggie burger, I have the same reaction:

"This is all right, I guess."

Followed immediately by "Doesn't seem all that much like meat."

Maybe it's just been too long, and I've forgotten what meat tastes like?

I don't really like the Beyond Burgers much. I've tried them twice and ...pretty solid "meh" rating from me.

I haven't had the Impossible Burger, though.

I thought the Beast Burger was the meatiest I've had. Maybe a little subtle on the flavor, but really good. The meaty part is mostly the texture and look.

I've not had the Impossible Burger yet because it's named after it's impossible-to-afford price.

I was raised vegetarian so I never tasted meat but even so I'm the opposite to you. I'm a super paranoid person though, I eat out and then I go "omg this tastes so much like real meat I bet they're not actually using fake meats!" like, how would I know if it tastes like real meat?!

With other stuff, totally though. Everyone raves about coconut milk being some perfect sub for whipped cream...nah, it tastes like coconut.

Count me as another non-fan of the Beyond Burger.

I like all those burgers. I like meat-like burgers. I just never buy the "OH MY GOD! YOU WILL NEVER BELIEVE IT!" stuff.
