I was on my way to work, waiting for a train, and found THIS on one of the benches:

It's handmade by a participant of this awesome street art movement called The Toy Society.

SO AWESOME. This is the best and cutest public art I've ever seen. Period.

I found 5 balls of yarn today at the thrift store for .50cents each and I think I know what I'm going to do with it all now! :)

That's a pretty neat idea for street art. It's always evolving in ways that are surprising.

That is adorable! I'm hoping I can get together with an artsy friend of mine and my sister and do this over their winter break from school.

If you guys know how to make toys, you can totally do this. I think you just gotta take a picture of it, e-mail the blog authors with the photo, your name, and the drop location, then leave it in a public place and wait and see what happens.

This is adorable. I've been wanting to learn to crochet toys for ages, maybe now I have a good reason to teach myself.

Best! I love that idea. That would make me feel so warm and happy to find something like that. Infact, it makes me feel warm and fuzzy knowing that people are doing this.

The one reservation I have is that the city of Boston tends to react poorly to whimsical artwork left in public places with no explanation:
