Sunday morning get down! Got down watching a Dr Who spinoff while lounging in bed with a cup of tea.

It is no longer morning though so I have got up to get down to tidying up after Saturday's get together.

Get!

Never too early for a bagel.

That is one of the only things I think my city is missing - a decent bagel place. I can't properly remember the last time I tasted a decent bagel, but its ethereal ghost haunts me still.

I treat bagels as convenience snacks now- something I can grab and eat just as they come (without having to faff about slicing or spreading or filling them) on the bus if I haven't got time to eat my bowl of soaky oats at home. I like them that way, but I can vaguely remember how great they are toasted- the onion or seedy ones with good marge, the plain ones with cream cheese (I've never even had a fancy bagel). So good.

Apparently there's a bagel place here that does vegan bagels, but it seems the only vegan filling they have is falafel and hummus, which doesn't excite me very much.
