I'm trying to recover from the beer/veggie burger/onion ring/tots/taco/cherry vodka/more tots/pinot noir festival we just had. It was glorious, and I think I am more full than drunk at this point.

3 glasses of white wine. I just texted my husband to come home and take advantage of me. (He's out for the weekly Friday Night Nerd-Out.)

You know, it's like, when you have only eaten brownies and rice and you have to go to a birthday pastry, don't rely on people who decide to shave their heads on a whim because you'll get drunk before leaving re house out of sheer rum-drinking boredom

I just finished the California forking Bar Exam, and I am drunk right now. I took it along with one of my peripheral study buddies, who I'm sure passed, and with whom I had copious drinks tonight. In spite of much touchy feely shenanigans, no sex! Despite touchy feely shenanigans to the point that that would have been reasonable. I have to admit, drunk V-Bot is a little annoyed. I understand that sober V-bot would give me a firm talking to about sexual etiquette and such, but sober V-Bot isn't here right now. Suffice it to say that my contention that I am rather unfamiliar with the realm of hooking up was met with astonished disbelief. Flattering as this was, it did not help my present situation. It seemed instead to destroy my credibility, despite the fact that my argument was entirely true. Currently home alone, am and very aware of a few things. (1): the fact that hooking up did not occur was intellectually a good idea. (2) I don't effing care because drunk sex with this lady sounds rather like what pure amazing would be like. (3) when and if I review this entry while sober, I will likely regret at least three of the things I have mentioned.
More seemingly encouraging facts apply, but I need to pass out now that it's almost 3 AM.
This has been a report from drunken V-Bot. Expect an associated response from sober V-Bot, with potential apologies for being a dick. Or affirmations regarding being unexpectedly declined by an effing gorgeous woman. I'm not exactly sure what yet. Probably apologies.

I'm in my underpants, drinking Racer 5, and listening to Archers of Loaf. There is a breeze that seems to be finding its way into my room despite the close proximity of my house to the neighbors.
Yay.

I've had white wine sangria lingering in the fridge for 2 or 3 days that I finally opened. It has peaches, golden raspberries, blackberries and lemon. yay!

I think it's time for another Godfather double-shot!
Then I may go out in the storm and crack my bullwhip a few times (it's nylon). No one else is here.. Just me and little buddy tonight, I guess.

I'm still waiting for the craziness. We have light rain, but that's about it so far. I won't even tell you how many godfathers I've had so far... I needed to throw caution to the wind.. My brain has been on worry-overdrive for too long now.

Forgot to ask, what do you put in your sushi? I'm always looking for new ideas.

I change it around every time, but tonight this was the list: - basic broiled tofu (from Veganomicon) - avocado - cucumber - carrot - red capsicum (pepper if you will) - blanched green beans - roasted asparagus - mushrooms (shiitake, cremini & some other kind) sauteed in a little soy sauce and sugar - blanched spinach tossed with sesame oil and toasted pine nuts.
We did roll your own tonight. I cut the nori sheets into quarters and we lay everything out and then you just go for it. It's awesome. I mix up the vegetables each time and sometimes make some different sauces.

Tonight was meant to be 'date night' but we cancelled because of the storm - didn't want a sitter to have to drive to us. So sushi and wine was a good substitute.

merlot, old audrey hepburn movie, (husband in bed, bored to sleep watching said movie) waiting for the hurricane.
this thread is making me wish i had sushi though! when we make it at home we usually do avocado, cucumber, portobello marinated in soy sauce & garlic and then sauteed, and peanuts.... for peanut avo rolls and other various combos. yum.......
