This is confirmed. Google bot loves fakes meat. Without its own user it would slow the boards down even more.

It could be bunnies.

I feel dumb. Explain bots to me. They actually get labeled? I thought they were like, sophisticated mass uberspammers.

*confused*

Bots are also what index pages for google to pull up in searches.
They also used to moderate IRC chat rooms back in the day. Certain code would make them say different things and you could tease them and they'd respond. oh, fun.

Search engine bots read webpages and report their contents back to the search engine. This is how you can search Google for a PPK thread topic and it shows up; it's because the bot read the topic and sent it back to Google.

Spam bots are entirely different.

From now on, every time I google something, I will imagine a little robot-man running around the internet searching for it, taking notes (probably on an iPhone) and then rushing back to me.

Haha that is a cute visual.

I now know what these little "bots" are. I learn one new fact a day on the ppk!
