Big news in the field of, um, doors.

They've found what might be the oldest door in Europe! 5,000 years old.

I, too, am astonished.

The last "l" fell off the link there. It's here and it's pretty cool!

I like doors. Doesn't everyone? My basement has a creepy wall made out of doors, which, judging from the newspapers acting as insulation, was created in the 30s. And I have an extra door that I keep upstairs just in case I have sudden need of it. I'm not crazy.

I would love to be a ancient door specialist. It sounds like a good set up for a horror movie featuring demons.

Maybe I'm slow, but do they say how it the door was held together? Twice in the article, they mention how remarkable way it's held together is, but did they say how? I want to know construction details from 3900 BCE!
