How about the guy who spent $140,000 to warn people about the May 21 end of the world?

4 more days. The kooks are out in Port Authority screaming at anyone walking by. I hope those crassholes get Raptured so I can walk through there in peace next week.

This is awful- I just read this in a local newspaper article about these rapture people: Quote: “We’re hoping that on May 21 we’ll all be raptured up together as a family,” Paul says. Minus their dog. Like many May 21’ers who plan to euthanize their pets prior to Judgment Day, the Pisanos considered putting down their 3-year-old pit bull, Bella. “[She] won’t have food or water. It’s like knowingly leaving one of your children behind and saying you don’t really care.” The family ultimately decided to leave her post-apocalyptic survival “in the Lard’s hands.”
http://www.philadelphiaweekly.com/news-and-opinion/Savior-the-Date-May-21-is-Judgment-Day.html#ixzz1Mj3Nsnw8So there are pets out there being euthanized over this? Horrible.

I wish there was some way to forever ban these people from getting another pet again after the forking rapture doesn't happen. Alas, they'll probably just get replacements and then do the same thing the next time they decide on a new rapture time.

Well, I think the article mentions one person who says he or she plans on doing this.
(By which I mean: it might only be one person who considered this. Which would make it forked up, but not an actual movement.)

I'm really surprised I haven't seen any of these fools in person. They're apparently based out of Oakland. I hope the liquor store employees get raptured so I can stock up on the top shelf stuff.

I want to put dibs on one of the flat-screens from one of the local mega-churches. Not a big one, just a 30 inch or so would do--one of the ones they use to broadcast the service in the bathrooms/coffee shop/gift store will be fine.
Also, if I see some good curtains, I'm taking those too.

In the article Pixel quoted, someone talked about 'drinking the Kool Aid'. And in the comments people kept saying not to drink the Kool Aid. What does that mean? Is it some sort of euphemism for suicide?

But it was widely believed to have been Kool Aid, so it has become a sort of shorthand way of referencing either mass suicide or holding a belief that may be widely held but lacking in proof.

You all are forgetting about the gigantic earthquakes. It's not going to be a bunch of people rapturing up into the sky. Things are going to be rough around here.

I think all the crazy sex scandals are a sign. First Osama bin Laden has a bunker full of porn, then Strauss-Kahn tries to rape a maid and now far right politicians in Turkey are resigning en mass to avoid the release of sexy tapes.
