I don't have to wear a uniform to work, but I don't have that much work-appropriate attire anyway, so I end up unintentionally wearing the same thing every week (undershirt, cardigan, black pants, boots.)

I can wear whatever I'd like, so long as I've my lab coat on top of it.

I finally have a job where I don't need to wear an apron, and I love it.

We just changed our policy and our work shirts finally came in.

Image

There are also button-up shirts and a dry mesh polo - each with women's and men's versions, which is pretty nice. I got the dry mesh and they are super comfy... Now we are able to finally order our "Friday shirts" which are just tshirts w/ the company logo screen printed on them. I've heard they are also very light and comfy. I just got the short sleeve one since I figure I can always just wear a long sleeve shirt under it during the fall.

Yup! At home it's not so bad, because a flightsuit is like giant pajamas and I can change as soon as I get home from work. But here it's ALL I can where, and that's getting old. Oh, well. At least it's comfy!

Yeah - if you count a suit with heels. But I have rebelled against pantyhose unless it's freezing cold.

I used to. Backless/sleeveless tuxedo-type shirt with cummerbund (is that really how you spell that? my spellcheck thinks so) and black thong over tan tights with black heels.

It was both the most ridiculous outfit ever and also the best thing to waitress in because you could MOVE, baby! (pants totally get in the way).

The only corporate-sponsored clothing at my current job are shirts with logos and a black fleece (which is actually rather nice). Pants are also encouraged, but not available with company logo.

Well, for my current plant job in the national park, we have a loose interpretation on the park service uniform. I wear a park service sweater, fleece vest or wind breaker if its cool enough, maybe with my badge, and ugly green poorly produced cargo pants, park service belt, along with a park service work shirt (sewn on name badge) or GRSM (great smoky mtns natl park) heather grey t shirt, and hiking boots. And, I should be wearing a hat. My head is a bit small for the park service arrowhead hat. I usually wear my NPS sun hat though because I shrunk it to fit my small head better, but its not practical for going through rhododendron, so usually I just wear a non uniform accepted bandana.

In a few weeks I'll be starting a more traditional park ranger job, complete with class A uniform. This will mean dress pants (wool content unfortunately but they don't really give you much choice- I may be allowed to wear twill pants though, I'll have to ask), traditional badge shirt with shoulder epaulets, polished boots or shoes (luckily vegan essentials have boots that are probably good enough, at least I hope the ones I have from them work, and I've heard the shoes aren't actually leather), belt (ugh leather and nothing I can do about it). Top it off with whatever outerwear, like sweater or rain coat or whatever and the quintessential ranger hat (so uncomfy!). If its cool and I'm wearing long sleeved uniform shirt then I need to wear a tie or a turtleneck underneath.

I kinda like wearing a uniform. It makes running into coworkers outside of work weird and surprising.

Yes, but it's either a lenient uniform or a really strict dress code--black collared shirt and khaki pants. Recently they added that we can wear khaki shirts and black pants if we want. We're supposedly only allowed to wear white or black undershirts, and plain black sweaters if it gets cold, but no one pays attention to either of those.

I just wear jeans and my staff shirts. I have five staff shirts, one for each workday.

We have to wear khaki pants and the ugliest sweater-like shirt I have ever seen. It's THIS COLOR.. Our boss bought the shirts at wal mart. It's a size small and it looks like a tent on me. It doesn't go very well with my green hair.

Yep. Company shirt (tucked in), blue work pants, black belt, and black oxfords or steel-toed boots (depending on the situation). I have a sweatshirt for cold days.

I work in a hospital laboratory so I don't have to wear a uniform, which is good but I kinda miss not having to think about what to wear in the morning.

I don't have to wear a uniform, but I do have to wear an apron. And I'm supposed to wear a hat or bandana with the company logo, but I get away without. It's good because I look atrocious in all of their hat options. The bandana's not so bad. Oh, and we have to wear non-slip shoes, which I also get away without. The only vegan options are Crocs, which I cannot bear to wear no matter how comfortable they supposedly are. I have been looking for decent looking non-slip shoes for the better part of a year with no luck. Gah!

My store's uniform is black or khaki pants and a black collared shirt. I'm the manager so I don't HAVE to wear that (and have been encouraged not to), but I do anyway because I don't have to think about what to wear.

I also wear nonslips, but wasn't going through the "Shoes For Crews" catalog because most of them were leather. I got mine from Payless. They're all synthetic materials, and more or less comfortable.

I don't - the dress code is business casual, which can mean pretty much anything - but I've learned that if I wear really conservative clothes, I do better. My job is in sales, and a lot of my customers are recent immigrants and Muslim, and it's a much more comfortable meeting if I'm wearing a dark turtleneck and relaxed long pants with my hair in a bun and sensible shoes. When in Rome... :)

I used to like having a uniform at my old part time job. I had no idea what to wear when I took an office job.

I wish I had a uniform.

I work in the corporate world so standard clothes for me are black slacks and some sort of shirt/sweater/etc. Its fairly easy to get dressed.

Starbucks employees wear hats? I can't even picture what the hat would look like.
