I still haven't been to New York. I've been wanting to go since I got into graffiti at 15. Since I don't know anyone there to put me and the boyfriend up for a few nights, I have to save up a bunch of money for hotels.

I think it took me around 37 hours or something ridiculous to get from here to New York. Fortunately I've become a master of sleeping on any form of transport, no matter how uncomfortable. A friend of mine is in Bolivia at the moment, I'd like to go there too. And Cuba.

vegan croissants? Damn, Vienna is definitely on my list!
To be honest I am no different from most people on here. I'd love to go to Tokyo and back to a load of US cities i've been to, plus home to England after over 4 years away to catch up with people. I shamefully never traveled enough when I was living in Europe.

Wanderlust over here. But I'm trying to be practical. Realistically, I'd like to visit Aleppo and Damascus (though Syria just changed its visa requirements, so we'll see how that works out). I'd also like to see Diyarbakir and Van in eastern Turkey because both have big Kurdish populations. On a more fanciful note, durian tourism in Malaysia! I will do this. I must. http://samlee86.com/2010/06/21/bao-seng ... et-penang/

Melisser, you make me feel bad about never going to Vienna. And I should probably feel bad because Vienna isn't far from Prague. So is it quite vegan friendly? As much as Iike seeing new places, I mostly travel for new food experiences.
As for cities I would like to visit, the only one I keep thinking about is Beijing. I can't wait to go back. And maybe Saigon.

Yeah, it's super vegan friendly here. We have about 15 vegetarian restaurants and a lot of them are like 85% vegan or more. There's also 4 or so all vegan places. We also have some fun accidentally vegan things like Hungarian Baumkuchen! I've been meaning to check out Prague again. I thought it was beautiful, but too crowded / touristy when I went 2 years ago.

Well, this is gradually getting worse and worse. We used to have a tourist season and a non-tourist season. Now it's crowds of tourist all year round taking over the historical parts of the city center. But if you've already seen the major touristy things, you could check out other places.

I was there maybe a year or two before the Czech Republic joined the EU, Prague was just emerging as a popular tourist destination, and all the locals still seemed really welcoming and excited to show off their town to visitors. But I knew that probably wouldn't last...

And to answer the question, Tokyo, Barcelona, Istanbul. Also, I saw cheap flights to Guanajuato, and it's really tempting. Also, I want to go back to Amsterdam, and from there, bike around the Netherlands.
The sad part is unless a fantastic job falls into my lap sometime soon, my traveling days are on indefinite hiatus.

Berlin is recommended apparently. Moscow and Leningrad because I love Russia. Erm, Somewhere like Istanbul or Marrakesh would be cool too.

Perth, Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne. And Wellington again, but then I'd never leave. Portland, San Francisco, and a small indefinite place in the middle of nowhere in Central US. Just to see how it's like. And visit New York again. Edinburgh, London, Helsinki, Paris, Stockholm, Amsterdam. Basically, anywhere I can make myself understood language-wise.

Well, I think most people are still quite welcoming to individual or small group travelers. The large tour groups cause what I call "tourist hate" because they don't realize that we live and work in the city center. We were just talking about this at school last week, the Charles University has buildings near the Old Town square and when I go to work from there I need to cross it and go through one of the narrow lanes leading out of it. There's usually a neverending crowd of people walking at the speed of 1 meter per minute. And politely asking the tourists to let me pass doesn't work. So I often hate tourists. All PPKers are of course excepted from this tourist hate. Come to Prague, it's fun!

London - so I can brush up on my English.
OK seriously - Boston if I can run the marathon and see the Red Sox play at Fenway Park. Chicago San Francisco Austin New York Kona - for the Kona Coffee Festival
Internationally - any large cities in China, Taiwan, Europe - especially during the grand cycling Tours in France, Italy, or Spain. Also Rio de Janeiro, Sydney.
Too much to see; not enough time or actual chance of ever seeing it.

When I was younger I wanted to visit Portland because that's where Everclear were from. Now I still want to visit Portland but because it's vegan central. Also Berlin, Munich, New York, London and plenty of others. rachell37 wrote: I'm probably the only person who doesn't want to visit Australia or NZ - not because I wouldn't love to meet the PPKers there, but because I don't really like traveling for days to get to a destination.
