He was REALLY ATTRACTIVE. And that was pretty much his only crush-worthy criteria.

Anyone sigh a lot when they have a really big crush? I keep doing that lately. I keep thinking about work on Friday since work crush will be there and then I'm all *le sigh*. I need a hobby.

The only two people to show any interest. I don't know what I did to deserve this, but it must have been something. But, really. What are the chances of this happening? I don't/didn't even hang out near priesty type places or seminary schools or anything. Met one at math center work, met the other at school (he has a geo phd and helped me with my electron microscope work). Both are very, very nice people. I just wasn't into them.

oh man, even my fleeting nonsense crushes are being crushed by my (admittedly) unreachable expectations personality-wise (not to mention it is getting harder for me to imagine dating anyone who isn't vegan nowadays, which limits the potential dating pool to exactly zero folks in my daily life). urgh. I can't even find anyone attractive for more than a few minutes without shooting myself down.
someone find me a crush to distract me pls.

Uh oh. I just got invited to a birthday/housewarming of this guy that I think is reeeaaally cute. We don't know each other well but last time we talked it seemed really cute and flirty. I can't tell if I should let myself crush on him yet though since for all I know he might not even be single, or he might not be into guys. Rrrrrrrr, well, from what I do know of him, I'm definitely going to be trying to piece together an outfit that I think he'll be into. And I won't hardly know anyone at the party. So yep, some slight crushing commencing.

This boy I think is exceptionally pretty got hammered at a house party and, while wearing false breasts and a trenchcoat, proceeded to fall more or less on my lap wailing about how he thought he was straight until Pride weekend in August when we both got drunk at a gay bar and snogged at the bar. Apparently I've caused some confusion in his life/pants.
I'm not sure what to do with this information.

Boober: Cute single guy? Where's the problem? Do what the freak you want. If you do nothing, you might regret it one day. (Believe me, I know. Although I'm also the Queen of Awkward, apparently. But I still think it's better to risk making a fool of oneself by doing something than just sitting around pining.)

Yesterday was my second date with new boy and it was nice to see how much our relationship has grown from awkward to flirty. He likes art-y documentaries without narration, museums, the show "Too Cute," and copious sarcasm. So far so good.

So yesterday I wasn't working but I went into the store to pick up my check. A young woman was working at the customer service desk who I hadn't seen before. I guess our schedules haven't overlapped yet. Anyway, while she cashed my check we got to talking and it was nice. She was clearly whip smart. Brandeis graduate student studying musicology with a focus on gender studies. I made a point of remembering all this so when we talked again later she'd know I was an attentive listener. So I was kind of psyched. And I thought it was a two way street. It felt like she was crushing on me; she got all flustered when she was counting my money. But then when I went into work today she didn't even remember my name, haha. D'oh!

This is in the best things thread, but I sort of accidentally asked work crush "Wanna bone?" And that sounds terrible so I'll add that I was not talking about the act of boning. But to ruin any credibility I have left, I'll also add that I spend most of the time we work together thinking about us boning.
*cough*
