This boy I think is exceptionally pretty got hammered at a house party and, while wearing false breasts and a trenchcoat, proceeded to fall more or less on my lap wailing about how he thought he was straight until Pride weekend in August when we both got drunk at a gay bar and snogged at the bar. Apparently I've caused some confusion in his life/pants.

I'm not sure what to do with this information.

Do what the freak you want. If you do nothing, you might regret it one day.

It seems that my work crush has a boyfriend. So I'm just left with PPK crushes.

I realised today that if our names are mashed together into a couple name they form 'Jerk' so I think I have a moral obligation to do so.

Yesterday was my second date with new boy and it was nice to see how much our relationship has grown from awkward to flirty. He likes art-y documentaries without narration, museums, the show "Too Cute," and copious sarcasm. So far so good.

So yesterday I wasn't working but I went into the store to pick up my check. A young woman was working at the customer service desk who I hadn't seen before. I guess our schedules haven't overlapped yet. Anyway, while she cashed my check we got to talking and it was nice. She was clearly whip smart. Brandeis graduate student studying musicology with a focus on gender studies. I made a point of remembering all this so when we talked again later she'd know I was an attentive listener. So I was kind of psyched. And I thought it was a two way street. It felt like she was crushing on me; she got all flustered when she was counting my money. But then when I went into work today she didn't even remember my name, haha. D'oh!

This is in the best things thread, but I sort of accidentally asked work crush "Wanna bone?" And that sounds terrible so I'll add that I was not talking about the act of boning. But to ruin any credibility I have left, I'll also add that I spend most of the time we work together thinking about us boning.

*cough*

Yeah, that's definitely looking on the bright side. I'm pretty bad with names too. But when I'm crushing on someone I work hard to remember stuff like that.

Yeah, I try to make a point of actively listening and remembering things when I'm crushing on someone, but that's not to say that if I'm flustered I'm going to do a good job of it. My boyfriend, on the other hand... I swear he remembers everything I have ever said. It makes me feel like a bad girlfriend!

I still don't know some of my students' names. This makes me feel like a horrible person. The name amnesia seems worse than usual this year. But! I can tell you anything and everything else about the kids. I swear I wouldn't make it through the day without my numbered seating charts.

Yeah, I totally kept forgetting my crush's name for a month. I would even mess up and call him something else when talking about him to my friends sometimes. Luckily never did it in front of him, but... it was close. Names just sometimes don't work for people.

Some people just need nicknames, obviously.

I definitely have a few friends whose names I seriously cannot call to mind because of how hard their nicknames have stuck.

I'm really bad with names.
One of my friend-quainences is even worse though, one time when we were all hanging out he turned to his friend (who'd been a fairly good friend of his for a solid 5 or so months) and very seriously asked "wait....what's your name again?" and we all thought he was joking.
He wasn't.
The alcohol probably had a good deal to do with it, but just a day or so earlier he'd forgotten my name.
So yeah.
Some people's brains have a non-functioning name compartment.

BUT MORE RELEVANT TO THIS THREAD, I've been talking to this girl from ~the internets~ a lot recently and we're going to meet up next week and she's just super cool and really fun and we've been talking really often and she's SO pretty and ARGH I totally want to not crush on her until we actually hang out in person but it's SO HARD because she's SO COOL. So. Yeah. That's a thing.

I'll be seeing work crush at work tomorrow and I'm trying to figure out how I'm not going to burst into giggles when I see him. Lard this kid is cute. I think I might have almost killed him just using the word "bone" in a sentence. The problem is I keep forgetting he's one of the few people I know who is more socially awkward than me.

I think I might die from how strongly I feel about this guy I met tonight. I want to punch all the babies in the world. In the face. I think he might be straight. Not sure. But I've seriously neve met anyone I was so attracted to .

I kind of wish tonight had not ever happened.

I have a crush on someone I just can not have a crush on. Well, I guess I can crush but it is a 0% chance of anything more. Crush crush crush!
