I rinse them off and stick them in the dishwasher.

I'm thinking of adopting a cat. The cat is currently a stray. I've had cats in the house before, but they have never been my financial responsibility, so I don't know where to start. Do you have any recommended reading/suggestions?

I'd start by looking in the Yard for other threads about the topic, and if none exist, create one to voice your questions/concerns. PPK'ers are wise and full of good information.

Are you planning a vacation for anytime soon?

Guatemala for three weeks at the end of the year. I'm excited!

I like 'em all, but will have to go with lakes.

as far as mainstream-ish press goes, I mostly read New Internationalist. but I like picking up local press of various incarnations when I can find something interesting

It's a tossup between the basketcase and Bender. I love that movie!

Where would you go on vacation if you could?

I'd like to do some kind of marathon journey, like hiking the Welsh coastal path, getting the train from London to Beijing or driving across America.



What parts of your body do you think are going to go first when you get old and creaky? My left knee is destined for the chop, I'm sure of it.

Knitting or sewing?

Knitting, if only because I'm death on sewing machines. To date, I've broken two. If not for that, I probably would have gone with sewing.

There were so many awesome people in history (but, then again, lots of not-so-awesome ones), but Eleanor Roosevelt is my favorite.

I like okra, rather I absolutely love it. Pickled, fried, in gumbo if its summer, bhindi subji, and every other way except for raw.
