At the moment, The Discerning Brute (which I think I might give up on soon because the posts often can be quite tedious) and Mämmi, which has just started up again after a long hiatus.


When you were little, what did you want to be when you were big?

I went through a "I wanna be an astronaut and a ballerina and a doctor and a librarian and a unicorn!" phase. Then I went through a "definitely going to be a writer" phase. Then I wanted to be a rock star, forever.

What do you remember about the internet when you first started using it?

I remember joining the chatroom all the other library kids were on when I was 11 (1996), and then discovering Star Trek fanfic and pretty much not leaving the house again til I was 18.

Same question: What's your first internet memory?

I remember installing the first internet browser from NSCA, mosaic. I remember thinking, "Hey that's neat." and then going back to downloading drivers on FTP and not really thinking about it much. There wasn't a whole lot to do then. This was in '93.

What is the best thing you have found on the internet?

The PPK, what else!

Do you prefer recipes from the internet, or from cookbooks?

Cookbooks, definitely! Although I do use both.
