When I turned 8 or 9 or so, my mum organized a huge treasure hunt through the garden. We were about 20 kids, and she had set up everything in the details, with teams, clues, different paths, different activities, it was awesome. The best thing was the team with one kid and my grandma (who had to join because we were a kid short or something), won the treasure after going through the bushes and all sorts of wilderness. My mum always made awesome birthday parties!

What is your favourite type of chocolate?

My favorite movie was The Last Dragon (Bruce Leeroy!). My favorite move was probably the moonwalk.

That's a really tough one, but I'm going to say Ethiopian. Injera topped with heaps of spicy stews: red lentil, yellow or green split pea, mixed vegetables or an oven roasted vegetable, collards, and of course a pile of shredded lettuce and diced tomato in the center.

What is the most unusual date you have ever been on?

Pineapple-Orange! It was my favorite in those little paper containers in elementary school, and it's still the best.

What's your all-time favorite PPK thread?

The one about cat genders, of course! I wasn't involved in it at all, but it makes me laugh every time I read it.

Ahem, well....

Tungsten, Migo, Quita, Mona, Kristofferson, Motor, Steve, Ned and Klaus.

4dogs, 2 cats and 3 rats.

If you were to be on any of the cooking reality shows, which one do you think you'd be suited to? (Chopped, Masterchef, Next Food Network Star, America's Worst Cook, etc etc etc?)

I'm not a worst cook, I think the stress of Chopped would freeze any creative juices, and I have no desire to be on camera, so Masterchef.

Your go-to songs for when you feel sad and want to indulge and embrace your sadness and for when you feel sad and want to snap yourself out of it? (Kind of a two-parter question.)

*I like this thread, so...bump*

If I'm feeling really into being sad and down, I listen to Coldplay's "the Scientist" (I know, this is rather...embarrassing), and if I want to get myself out of it I listen to the Dixie Chicks album Taking the Long Way.

What kind of books do you own the most of (cookbooks, novels, memoirs, etc)?

I really like the Milwaukee Art Museum. I need to visit more museums, though!

What is the first author whose work you connected with?

As a kid/adolescent, it was Madeleine L'Engle. I don't share her religious views (which play a pretty major role in some of her books), but still appreciate her books as really good YA literature.

What's the most recent movie you saw in a theater?

Guardians of the Galaxy. I very rarely see movies in theatres, but it was a fun one :)

Discounting weather, sharp objects, etc --- if shoes weren't expected by society, would you choose to wear them or go barefoot at all times?

I'd be barefoot 90% of the time. Sometimes I like wearing my pretty/fun shoes, though.

What is your ringtone set to?

I love all of the [vegan] candy! If I have to pick, Chick-o-Sticks, or Dots if I feel like getting a serving of fruit.

Hot cocoa or hot apple cider?

Hot apple cider!

If you could only have one type of fruit for the rest of your life, what would you pick?

Clearest of clear lakes to actually swim in; rivers and oceans equally for splashing; pools as close to "never" as possible.

What's your favorite nature spot?

My in-laws live right on a lake in a tiny town up north and in the middle of winter we go out into the middle of the frozen lake at night and it is so beautiful.

How far do you live from where you were born?

To be precise, 6,874 miles. I was born and raised in Uzbekistan, a small country in the heart of Central Asia.

What was your most memorable Christmas gift?

Ooh! Good one. :) My most memorable Christmas gift was from my now fiance the day before we officially got together. So on Christmas night, we got together and exchanged gifts, and he gave me two CDs he burned for me, and a cute little keychain that he had bedazzled himself with little rhinestones. It was one of those mini keychains that you can upload photos too, and when I turned it on, there were tons of adorable pictures of cats and kittens. XD Hahaha! It was just ridiculously cute and so unexpected and silly too. We also shared our first kiss that night, so it's one of my most cherished memories! :)

Ok..here's my question:

When is the last time someone you didn't know impacted your life in an amazing way? Could be a little thing or a big thing. :)
