SNOW! Snow snow snow. It's disgusting snow, because it rained in the morning and it's too warm to stick, but still, it's snow. Plus I have pumpkin cinnamon rolls and a fire in the fireplace.

Freaking snowy slushy rainy icy mix in October! It's miserable out today. But I had already vowed to be a shut in this weekend well before I knew the weather was going to be crappy. So I'm ok with it! I just made the cornbread from AFR.

I'm really in the mood to spend the night inside, justified in not going out to Halloween parties and being social because hey it's dangerous weather!, and I would just watch Buffy and drink cocoa and eat soup and be in my PJs with my cat.

Instead, it's way too warm and sunny, I'm sweating, and my windows are open.

I know everyone getting snowed on right now thinks I'm ridiculous, but I'm pretty homesick for Boston right now.

I know it's only October, but I'm all bundled up in blankets, singing Christmas carols. I like snow.

I'm pissed that it's not as bad as I expected. Granted, I haven't left the building today, so maybe it is bad, but I used the weather as an excuse to not go to the office (I worked remotely, but still, there are papers on my desk I need...). And from my window it doesn't look too bad. So, BOO.

I hope none of you in the snowstorm have to deal with power outages. I keep seeing more and more reports of outages on the news. My friend just emailed to tell me her town has no power and she's only 20 min away from me. Really hope we don't lose it here!

Also, I just heard a snowplow go by, and that is a really weird sound for october!

i'm super-psyched we just got our electricity back after being without for 24h thanks to this stupid asparagus nor'easter. YAY HEAT! yay internet! i don't have to take a freezing-cold shower tomorrow morning!

BUMP!

We have a wind warning for my side of the island. It's been nice and stormy/cloudy here lately. A couple days ago, I was going through a parking lot, and all the leaves kind of just flew off the trees, shot into the air, and swirled around like a hurricane. They were just blowing so hard all over the streets. So awesome!

Anyways - now I have to decide if I wanna double-bundle my little guy up so we can ride the bus and have a little adventure, or if we should stay home again today. Hmmm!

How's everyone else's weather?

I got into a fight with my roommate over the air conditioner last night. Yes it was 80 degrees inside and that's not pleasant, but I refuse to turn on the air conditioner in the middle of November. It's not right.

nearly a month later: 6 weeks to Crimmas and it is STILL FRIGGING COLD. The fleece socks are being used. Frost forecast for tonight. We are going to have serious agricultural issues if this doesn't stop soon. Last year at this time we were fanning ourselves and chugging iced tea, the way we are supposed to. Tonight i am making soup and mulling wine.

Update to my weather! It totally just snowed today! Like tons and tons of giant snowflakes, but really wet. It's been precipitating all day, and it's super cold! Winter is here!

25°C (~77°F) and a wee bit overcast. Forecast sees us getting up to 32°C (~90°C) over the next couple of days, with lots of thunderstorms. Eh. Better than pissing rain all day, every day.

Do you know what it's supposed to be like tomorrow? 46 F and rainy. My least freaking favorite weather ever.

record high of 84 here yesterday - i turned it on - it was soooo sticky out. but high of 55 today! back up into the mid 70s within a week. this endless up and down gives me such a migraine.

It was 60 in Tuesday. It's now 27. FORK YOU CHICAGO. After 5 years of this, and living all my life in Illinois, you'd think I'd be used to it. No. I do not want to ride my bike to work. Yes, I know it'll be much colder in January, but I'm not ready yet. BRRRRRRR!!!!!

Its snowing out, and my boyfriend and I got up way earlier than usual so it seemed colder than waking up later in the day, and took a walk to the store to get some things, which is a mile or so away. The weather seemed unpleasant at first, but the walk was nice after I got used to it.

We have a winter storm warning here today, which I believe as it's pretty windy and snowy out right now. Winter kind of just showed up and is here to stay it seems.

Was pouring rain here yesterday. My car sometimes leaks and some books got wet. :(

I don't like that it has to rain for several days in a row. one day is good.

we had some snow! apparently the lake is at a record high temp so its gonna be thundersnows all winter long! wahoo!

I feel like the weather in Portland has been really good this year. I mean, for my gardens sake the summer could have been hotter but honestly I prefer beig cool. This fall has been good too, It's cold sure, but not the kind that really get in your bones. I work outdoors (but totally covered) all year round, and this year I often find myself turning off our space heater due to me being too warm for it! And I'm warring the exact same clothes as I did last year so it's not that. Also the rain is giving us more breaks than normal. So while, yeah, the majority of the time is raining, it's sure closer to 50/50 than last year.
