Also -- this rain is supposed to turn to snow during the next few days - ahhhh! I hope the weathermen were just lying to me bc I am supposed to get a bus to NYC on Saturday with my mom and I don't want bad conditions!

Seriously!! Wyvern is flying/busing in on Friday night and I really don't want bad conditions for that.

Are you guys still coming to the green holiday fest on Sunday??

It rained a lot on my way back from work. And we are supposed to get gale force winds; the electronic display at the train station said they might implement a temporary timetable later in the day due to forecasts of severe weather.

You're right, that's a bit much. Also, living in NC has warped my New England hardiness and when it hits 40 I'm FREEZING. Right now it's 42, feels like 37.

When I woke up, we had our first snow on the ground! So lovely. I got to wear my awesome comfie insulated overalls for walking the dog and biking to work this morning.

I live in a valley, and it's been cold and foggy for days and days. The fog isn't very thick, but it won't go away, so it's been very grey. I'm glad it's not raining, though. I miss the blue sky.

Freezing (10F). Over 2ft of snow since early Monday morning. LAKE EFFECT snow. Not to mention severe winds yesterday gusting to 55 MPH. We had green grass and 40+degree weather on Sunday. How I wish it was still Sunday...

Started snowing Sunday night, and it shows no sign of stopping now. We hadn't had any snow on the ground yet, and it all got there to make up for lost time in the last few days. Plows just came by today, before that it was thick and near impassable on the roads, but the wind and visibility are bad so driving is scary still. I'm so glad that it finally became winter, now if only we could have this for longer of the year.

I refused to leave the house today. Not with the 5 month old. It's -15C + windchill. Pops gets to work overnight during an extreme cold weather alert (again-works with the homeless). Lucky him. This is when I'm thankful to be a stay at home mum.

It was below freezing in SF when I woke up this morning. This is the little weather widget on my desktop, screengrabbed for posterity. (scale is Centigrade)

Everyone is losing their shiitake, and it's pretty funny.
