WAIT.. there are some really good songs in here.
So John (The Mountain Goats) Darnielle wrote a nice thing about people liking music ironically. He had been someplace where they played, I dunno, some cheesy disco song or something and all the hipsters got up and danced to it ironically, and claimed to like it ironically... He was pretty dismissive of this. He basically said, You can't like something _ironically_ if you don't _actually like it_. It may not be something cool, but if you like it, just say you like it.
...also, I should note that while I've been watching videos with the Emperor, my lovely wife Coldandsleepy was forced to get up and leave the room in order to escape the METAL and the PHAT BEATZ YO. Well done, PPK.

I'm never gonna tell you everything I gotta tell you but I know I'm gonna give it a try Making Love Out Of Nothing At All - Bonnie Tyler vs. Air Supply. The Air Supply video is kind of the greatest.

Shouldn't have fallen asleep last night. Thanks Veg_eric for posting "Hands Up" - my mother used to play that to me when I was little. Oh and D.I.S.C.O. And that one (from the year I was born, haha):

Great. Now I'm stuck with one thought. And I can't remember the band. When I was a kid, I loved listening to my Dad's vinyl records. And there, right next to that Ottawan album, was a record that had a song I bet it was called Africa - but it's not the Toto one!! Wikipedia doesn't help. Still investigating.
