I haven't logged in for ages so this is a bit late. I regret to inform you that I saw a department store with its "Christmas shop" (trees, decorations, table runners etc.) all set up in the final week of August. Four freakin' months out. They're not even trying to hide their desire to leech us of every cent possible.

Where I work we've had it since July. It's seriously messing up my concept of what time of year it is.

The earliest I've ever seen Christmas stock out was at Office Depot in mid August.

I'm pretty upset that coffee chains are already advertising their holiday flavors. Though, that didn't prevent me from ordering a pumpkin spice latte the other day.

This is shitty and ridiculous, but honestly, I am kind of thrilled, because this summer has been mostly a write-off and the idea that December could be around the corner excites me.

I rolled my eyes at the Halloween candy showing up at the store I work at a couple weeks ago. Christmas is just ridiculous.

Who has vegan pumpkin spice lattes?! I want one!

I refuse to acknowledge Giftmas exists until the day after Thanksgiving, when I have my annual refusal to leave my house and shop day. I do love the holidays, though. I get sad when it's time to start listening to normal music again.

seriously though, there should be some sort of moral code insisting shops don't do this shiitake to us.

This is 100% me. I haven't seen any Christmas stuff out yet but I'm sure it's just a matter of weeks (days?) until I have to put my blinders on.

The Starbucks ones aren't vegan, so don't even bother!

True story: I always order the (vegan) pumpkin syrup in my drinks at our campus coffee shop, so my friend who works at Starbucks brought me home an entire unopened bottle of their pumpkin syrup. It was the best day of my life, until I read the ingredients list. :(

I know, it makes me so sad! I was hoping there was some other national chain that was doing vegan ones or something, because I am pathetic and want one so. bad. (I'll just be sobbing uncontrollably in the corner here)

Yeah, I don't go to Starbucks, but I get them from Peet's... though the last time I read the ingredients was years ago, and now I'm getting nervous.

I love Christmas ornaments! I am not sure what exactly it is about them, but I look for them year-round, especially when traveling. I like to have them from different places. So, I guess I would think it was a weird time for the tree, I would probably be excited!
