My boyfriend and I are the reverse of you two--I loooove Halloween, but he hates the idea of costumes/dressing up, so he never does. But he comes out with me (and he does like parties, as long as he doesn't have to dress up).

I'm going to try to be Medusa! I cut about a dozen little snakes out of some old green cloth so I could pin them in my hair, and we have some green pieces of old curtain I want to try to fashion into something drape/toga-y.

I want to be either Willow from Buffy or River Song from Doctor Who.

But I don't know nearly enough people who will understand what my costume is.

I feel like I'm wasting a great opportunity since I have a big pregnant belly this year, but I just can't think of anything clever. I don't want to be a bumble bee. Or a pumpkin. Or paint my belly like a fish bowl and dress up as a cat (a weirdly popular option, apparently). The only thing I thought of was Juno. That would have been funny when the movie first came out. Now it's just dumb. Bah!

This may be a moot point since we don't have any solid plans yet. I guarantee I will think of an awesome costume on Monday.

I probably won't even bother now. I'm going to a show on the Sunday that I'm super pumped about and don't want to dress up for. I may go to a show I'm less pumped about on the Saturday and maybe do half-ass zombie makeup for that. I hardly ever dress up, I always lazy out at the last minute.

Sailor. Hat, kerchief, shorts. No shirt. And maybe the caterpillar from Alice in Wonderland - green speedo, green body glitter, antenna and a hookah.

ok, you managed to get me just a teensy bit excited because i entertained (for a moment) the idea of going as dr. who. but then i remembered that my ex took the sonic screwdriver with him when we broke up, so that nixes that idea.

my bikram studio is expecting people to come in costume for classes on sunday. i am therefore soliciting awesome costume ideas that won't be terribly prohibitive in a 104°+ yoga class. no makeup, obvs.

Tuxedo Cat,
I'm doing Snooki also. Buy some good bronzer and just put it on in layers. I did it once for a costume and although it took awhile it looked real and luckily wasn't!

The wing, including myself, dressed up after work today and ran 2 miles in our costumes. Sorry for the bad quality, wasn't my camera, but here I am before the run, trying to pose but laughing way too hard. Kilt, Olde Dress Shirt and Vest.

I think this was actually me trying to do a Highland Dance.
Should also be submitted to "shouldn't be in pictures" thread.

Velma from Scooby Doo, but this version.

Man, now I'm sad that I'm not being Velma! My friend was thinking of being Daphne, and I told her I'd be Velma, but then we both decided not to do it. This, though, would have kicked asparagus.
