Limbo on SE Cesar Chavez near Holgate (and next to Trader Joes) is closing.

The wall of herbs is gone, though they still have some bulk spices left. Dried lobster mushrooms are $2/oz and oyster mushrooms are $1.50/oz. They're still getting produce daily until they close.

Oh too bad. Far from my house, but when I lived closer I always stopped in for produce and a chai tea.

Oh no! This is horrible. I live right down the street from this and go there frequently, but have been out of town all summer and didn't know. So sad. I love that wall of herbs, and $1 bags of avocados.
Any idea why?

The owner(s) are retiring. I asked if they tried to sell it, but was told there was some problem with the lease.

How did I miss out on that?!! Sadness. :(

They were amazing. When the avocados would start to get too ripe to sell, they'd put 7-8 of them in a bag and sell them for $1. I'd buy them and make guacamole.

I spoke with Joshua Stephen, the tall guy, who has managed and worked at Limbo most of the time they were open. He's opening his own, separately owned, business and plans to offer several of the same products. His website is www.HerbsSpicesTeas.Com.
