Hey y'all,

I just moved on to stage 3 of the interview process. I think this looks good. No answers as of yet. I'm a gal that likes to have a game plan in place.

IF this happens, I'm looking to rent a room from someone, and I'll need to be able to be close to public transit so I can take a Trimet trip to the warehouse on NE Portal Way-(NE quadrant). If you live in SW PDX, that might not work, but it will be considered

I'm an awesome roomie, can keep to myself, or hang out. You probably won't even know I'm there because I'll be gone most of the time.

My preferences:

A relatively clean living space. This doesn't mean spotless or free of clutter, just clean.
No smoking
Social drinking is fine, but I'd prefer an alcohol free space. I don't like to be around a lot of booze.
No drugs
An internet connection if possible

I've been looking at some Craigslist stuff, but would rather get a good referral from a fellow vegan. Many of the ads are either people who talk about being "420 friendly" or want a party mate. Nope.

The warehouse is scheduled to open 90 days from Labor Day, so I'm looking at December of this year, possibly earlier.

I wish we had the space to rent to you, we live one block away from a MAX station. But even if we did have room it wouldn't work because we drink a bit too much. :( Wishing you luck though! You searched 'vegan' on craigslist yet? I feel like I have seen some really good ones before when I searched that, not looking for a party mate type ones.

Oooh! I didn't think of looking under the vegan category, I was just looking in shared room/rent section. Thanks for the suggestion!

My interview is next Friday at high noon!

Well, I look in the shared room section too, but then in the search parameters search 'vegan'. I just did a search now and found some stuff I think sounds super awesome, and I kind of wish I could move in with them. :)

Awesome, thanks so much! I'm sure I'll find something if I end up making the move. I'm so excited about the interview! Ack! It's not until the 21st and it is over the phone because both administrators are in CA/OR right now.

I think it went well. I ROCK the interview, and the funny thing is that was really nerve wrecking! I did my very best, and the most awesome part is that I know I don't have everything riding on this. I'm still awesome ol' Jewy no matter what they decide. I will not likely hear anything until at least next week because they are interviewing someone else and time sheets are due this week.

If I get it, don't you think it is a sad state of affairs that a person would have to get a FT job in another state to help her own family make it? Seriously, the market sucks bizzalls.

I'm looking in other states for work, too. Ironic that you might be moving to Portland for a job.
