We discovered Luc Lac on a whim tonight, and it filled a giant void in my heart and stomach. Best vegan bun bi chay I've had in a restaurant since my beloved Cafe Delat closed it's doors a long time ago. The tofu salad is too similar to the tofu vermicelli bowl (bun bi chay) to order at the same meal, but they are so so so good. I can't wait to try the vegan pho, curry and their other stuff. Everything vegan is clearly marked on the menu, even though ordering and getting a table is annoying, it's worth it. Plus they're open until 4 am on friday and saturday!

This is my new favorite restaurant. So stoked.

They have a vegan banh mi on that menu. And I will be in the area this weekend.
Is it hard to get a table just because it is crowded? Or small?

It's hard to get a table, because you order at the bar first. Then seat yourself. They don't really know how to handle it when groups of folks come in, so it's just sorta awkward? Like, first we waited, then they found a table for us, then we got back in line to order, then they bring it to the table. It's just really weird how it works. BUT TASTES SO GOOD.

I love that place! I miss the awkwardness of Pho PDX and don't go as regularly as I used to with the new long lunch lines, but... <3 tofu salad bun.
