Hey, I'm looking to have buisness cards printed, either letterpress or screened, and I'd like to find someone who's more into doing small runs, artisanal-style or somethng. Google just leads me to mega-printers... The nicest place I've found through there is nice enough but 250 would be the smallest run they'd do, and it seems like they'd charge a buch extra once I were to go about trying to get my odd size request worked in there. Anyhow. Anyone have a friend or something that does this kind of thing?

I like the designs at Red Bird Studio. I don't know if they do business cards, but you could ask!

Yeah, Egg Press and Eberhardt are both awesome, too; i would have mentioned them if you weren't looking for a smaller run.

You could take a one day letterpress course at IPRC and then they let you use their studio and gear. Or you might be able to find someone through the IPRC who would print cards for you.

I know sheli (http://tinyparachutes.com/ although its pretty blank.. could be worth emailing) does pretty small-run screen printing. she's pretty awesome, so that's a bonus

I just joined the IPRC (again). Workshops sell out kind of in advance, and letterpress workshops happen ~2x a month. You'll need to purchase a membership (sliding scale, $55 & up) to enroll in the letterpress workshop, and (according to the website) you'll need to attend an open house intro workshop prior to that. Just things to keep in mind if you have a deadline but want to go this route...
