Here's the event info, in case you're not on facebook and are interested: For those interested in becoming contributers and volunteering with the Vegan Iron Chef organization. Please bring your datebooks.
At this meeting, we'll briefly explain our history, plans for next year, and how you can help. We are seeking skills of all sorts, and feedback as to what you'd like to see at the next Vegan Iron Chef (aiming for June 2011). There will be several planning committees, such as pantry organization, promotion, sponsorship, and equipment, technical & more, to get involved with.
Joining planning committees will require weekly meeting as early as February 2011, and bi-weekly before then.
If your schedule doesn't allow for an advanced commitment, and you'd like to volunteer the day-of only, we'd love to you have - stay tuned for more information & sign up this spring! If you're unable to make this and still want to be involved, please email us at VeganIronChef@gmail.com
FYI: Hot Lips serves vegan pizza by the slice and pie. I'm sure some folks will be interested in sharing, so get there early if you plan to do this. If we have a large RSVP, we may move this elsewhere.
Vegan Iron Chef is a non-profit organization. Our plans for upcoming fundraisers include a Vegan Casserole Competition this winter. Our 2nd annual competition will once again feature 3 chefs from Portland's vegan community creating 3 courses based on a secret ingredient, and a panel of opinionated, esteemed judges.
