Hello there :)

I'm going to be in Portland October 3-8 and 24-27 for work conferences. Also possibly November 14-18. The cost of hotels is making me cry when added on to the conference fees. I'm hoping someone may have a mother-in-law type thing or possibly a sublet. It would probably need to be a somewhat independent place (ie not a spare bedroom in a house)as I'll be bringing my dog (who is suuuuuper sweet and friendly, though big. But he doesn't bark and is the most fun thing ever). I'll also have my 18 year old cat. We've been together since he was 6 weeks old and I can't bear to board him. I don't know Portland, but was told the conferences are near Portland Convention Center, Rose Garden or Lloyd Center

If you have any leads for me I'd be eternally grateful!

I'd check Air bnb! If you have a car with you, you might want to consider someplace a little further away from the convention center, since you could probably find something nicer a bit cheaper if you're willing to drive (or take the Max) to the conference center.

Hey, thanks! I'd never heard of AirBnb before. It looks really cool. I'm attending a couple of conferences in Bellingham, too, so I'll check them out for those, as well. The only problem is that I don't know where all the different districts are.
