Hi! Longtime lurker, first time poster. I am moved to create an acct and post today as I have unsuccessfully tried once again to find unsweetened nondairy creamer for a recipe. No go on Fred Meyer, New Seasons, Whole Foods and Food Fight. Mimiccreme doesn't seem to exist anymore (as far as being able to find it in stores or via their website...which has not been updated since last year as far as news either). It is ridiculously expensive on Amazon. Where can I find something? Help!

I am open to recipes, but I really hate to complicate an easy recipe that only needs a 1/4c by adding a huge amount of work for the 1/4c creamer.

Do you actually need something with no added sugar at all? You could make your own cashew cream pretty easily. But the Original Silk or Wildwood would probably do just fine--they aren't very sweet.

What is the recipe?

I don't have any problem with sugar, but every time I try the Plain or Original it turns out to be something that would taste better in coffee. I was a bit disappointed with the Wildwood when I tried it as I always need it for more savory dishes. I may be stuck though.

This particular recipe is for a b├ęchamel sauce in the Vegan Sandwiches Save the Day book.

I did a bit of snooping on Mimiccreme's FB page. Seems they have had production issues for a while and it's not being sold anywhere. Poo...

I have never looked at that particular recipe, but I have made many bechamel sauces in my life and only ever used soymilk.
