I'll be in town from 7-11 May, and I've started sketching out what I want to be sure to do. Do you guys have any recommendations for live music on Friday nights? We like a pretty wide variety of music, but it's a bonus if the music isn't so loud we can't hear each other talk. Because we are old.

I am so not the one to ask because I never see bands, but here's a link to the Mercury's live music roundup calendar: http://www.portlandmercury.com/portland ... %20Weekend

Hey, thanks! P-cookie hooked me up with some great recommendations about Portland in general too. I am SO excited about coming up, this vacation is desperately needed.
