Is anyone going to the screening of Forks Over Knives in Portland on December 9th?

http://www.nwveg.org/forksoverknives.php

Mr. Zoey and I are planning to go.

There's also a pre-event lecture by Dr. Campbell the evening before, Dec. 8th. There will be some light food to eat and an opportunity to ask lots of questions!

While there's still room to attend the lecture, I think the Dec. 9th screening is sold out, but it will come back for at least a week beginning Jan. 7th.

We really wanted to go to the lecture on Wednesday night but we couldn't find a baby sitter and I am pretty sure it would be frowned upon to bring a toddler. If anyone else is going to the movie and wants to meet up there, let me know.

Dr. Campbell's lecture was fabulous; he got a standing ovation! There were about 270 people there, including many doctors and other medical prosfessionals. Whole Foods, Dr. Kracker and Organically Grown (the company that provides much of the organic produce found locally) all contributed to the healthy treats served - apples, carrots, bananas, grapes, dried figs, almonds and Dr. Krackers.

Tickets for the premiere week, opening Jan. 7th at the Regal Fox Theater downtwn, should go on sale tomorrow, both at the theater and from www.fandango.com. They would make great gifts or stocking stuffers.

The lecture was great! It was also sold out.
He gave me a new perspective on how to answer that question "How DO you get your protein?"
