The PDX outpost of the Bend vegan burger joint opened a couple of months ago. We go frequently. The soft serve and milkshakes are crazy good. Love the pumpkin white bean burger and sweet potato fries. Also, chili cheese fries. Also, grilled cheese with tomato soup. The owner is really great, and he goes out of his way to keep the packaging green and minimal. It's on Hawthorne in SE--across from New Seasons up towards Tabor. Highly recommended.

We went when we visited PDX three weeks ago, and damn. It was so good! We shared the chili cheese fries and a peanut butter cup shake, and I had the bacon cheeseburger and Mr. C had the SoCal burger. We were both thrilled.

I have a friend who lives right by it and has been telling me to go, but now that I know they have soft serve I'm super motivated to go soon! And chile cheese fries! And milk shakes! I would be down for a ppk meet up.

Me too! The milkshakes are fantastic.

I live four blocks from it. Most of the burgers are not housemade, just various brands, which sort of annoys me but it's also pretty affordable and generally tasty. Into the milkshakes. Let's have a meet-up and then you can all come over and drink $3 wine with my cats.

That makes so much sense now. I went right after they opened because I love veggie burgers. Got the basic burger, thought it tasted like a Boca, and haven't gone back.

I liked the burger I had there okay, but yeah, I didn't think the patty was all that special. I'm fine with it, though, since I'm generally more into toppings than patties. I do like how they have some nutritional info on their menu as well.

Their "savory meaty patty"/"next level patty" is a Beast burger from Beyond Meat. Those are one of the worst things I've ever tasted in my life, but somehow nlb makes it taste good.

I've only had the house made pumpkin white bean burger, and I think it's excellent. Haven't had the outsourced patties. The housemade burger is really good. I agree with Jordan about liking the toppings best (their swiss cheese is so good), and the transparent nutritional info.

And oh that softserve!

Honestly my favorite thing there is a grilled cheese and a banana shake because I'm 5. I also enjoyed the SoCal burger quite a bit.

I finally went and thought it was great! It's really nice to go places with vegan kids menus so my little vegan can order her own special thing (although she can sometimes eat as much as me). She loved her Happy Dog. Our fries were apparently delayed (by like 5 mins) so they came out to apologize to us and offered a free milk shake! That was awesome. We got the dark chocolate peanut butter cup.
