I can't believe I haven't been to Farm Cafe before tonight. I've heard rave reviews about the Tofu Marsala so my expectations were very high, but it exceeded my expectations. By a lot. Savory, crunchy coating on the tofu, you are my friend. And the mashed potatoes with mushroom gravy, I want to bathe in you. I also had what I expected to be a boring green salad, but it was incredibly tasty, lots of different greens including baby kale, and matchstick carrots (possibly some other matchsticked root vegetables?) and an excellent vinaigrette. This was an awesome meal.

P.S. Baby kale! So cute and crunchy!

Yum! That sounds really good. I tried to go once but they were closed. I will definitely go back now

This place is so good. I love that tofu dish too. (It's too bad though that it is always the only vegan entrée, come on Farm Café, get another vegan option!) I love the roasted chickpea appetizer, and when I last went they had a vegan dessert option. I like the atmosphere a lot too--very warm and candles and cozy.

Oh I don't know! I was told it was but as we know some people find vegetarian/vegan definitions confusing

The waitress told me that the veggie sausage at Cup and Saucer was vegan. It isn't:(

This place surprised me as being my (by far) favorite dinner in Portland last time I visited! So so tasty, and I loved the atmosphere too.

the recipe they made for julie's show has soy sauce and breadcrumbs... : (
you should ask karla though if maybe they do GF specials? her friend works in the kitchen.
