I wanted to repost this blog post from sweet pea in case anyone missed it. Things are getting a little tight over at our favorite (and only) vegan mini mall. Why not take a trip down there and show them some love?

http://sweetpeabaking.com/?p=675

I think I will head over there tomorrow, buy some groceries, maybe a new cookbook...

How can I support from afar? Would ordering online from FFG or Herbivore work? My heart lives in Portland even though I have only been there once, for less than one whole day.

I really shouldn't speak for Chad/Josh/Michelle but my guess is that online orders will help their bottom line. Order away! Send your mom some vegan chocolate and dandies for s'mores. Send someone Isa's cookbooks from Herbivore!

Maybe it's time for me to finally visit Scapegoat and get a tattoo.

Yes! Get a tattoo from Scapegoat.
Here's my lemur tattoo- thanks Henry! It looks even nicer now that it's all healed up.

I wish Sweetpea could ship, it was so yummy when I was there. And ohhhh, the sandwiches! If I lived in PDX, I'd live at Sweetpea. And get tattoos every day. : )

^Honestly I'm not too sure of his name...I walked in and said "hey i made this design, you got an hour or so?" He obliged.

After perusing their site, i'm pretty sure it was dylan.

great artwork, you guys!

Not to deter anyone from getting vegan tattoos (I look forward to getting a custom piece from them in the future) but, I'd assume that Scapegoat is actually the most financially stable of the mall. So, on your way to tattoos, make sure to patronize the rest! : )

Can I just go to Herbivore and make awkward conversation with Josh like I normally do? Or do I actually have to buy something?

Plus a bunch of stocking stuffers from Food Fight! Whew, I might of overdone it but that is what happens when I find an excuse to buy some fun vegan stuff!

I live so close to Back to Eden that I don't frequent Sweetpea so much....(however back to eden does not do sunday brunch! Peeps should meet up for that some time.)
Definitely need to get my butt over to food fight though! They should bring the nachos back.

I'm a complete wimp, so for my upcoming appointment in January I'm making people feed me stuff from Food Fight and Sweetpea like every 30 minutes as a delicious distraction. And then when I'm done I'm rewarding myself with a cookbook from Herbivore. I am very much looking forward to this trip.

A meet up there sounds like fun. I just found out that SweetPea has doughnuts on Saturday so I know where I will be on Saturday morning. I didn't know that they had brunch on Sunday, that sounds great too.

I love The Ives (kraut, spinach, carm. onions, remoulade, housemade seitan) sandwich! So good, remember to ask for it on the roll instead of the wheat bread, it's about 90x better!
