I am coming to PDX early for the Vida maddness and thought it might be possible to do a small meetup before hand to see some people who might not be around for Vida. I will be there Monday evening if all goes as planned and Vida doesn't start until Thursday evening at the earliest as far as I know.
Anyone want to hang out? Food or books or interpretive dance?

I will hang out, but only if it's for interpretive dance.

I am also demanding Flavour Spot for breakfast twice (!) while I am there, so if anyone wants to join me for an early breakfast one day that would be grand. I am not a big ol' donut fan so whilst everyone else is in line for a VooDoo I will be sittin' and wafflin' and writin' up my Panda Raps™ to sing to jdfunks some enchanted evening.

Also possible could be a trip to the Sweet Bye and Bye although I'm betting there will be lots of people going there with Vida.

Also, taking suggestions for other exciting activities to do in PDX. I have a Dovetail scone, waffle and Powell's on my list thus far which does not make a whole vacation.

You should get one of everything at Dovetail. SO GOOD

I think the second waffle will happen Friday morning if y'all are here by then. dtbk and I have plans. Oh yes. I think Flavour spot with their canadian U was actually the best thing I ate in PDX when last there. That and the dang Dovetail scone. I haven't had a scone in over a year. They don't make them here. What the hell is that? That is a sad panda right there is what it is.

I would not go so far as to say best. There are scones in Brighton, England which are on up there. Oh my.
Here you have to go to Panera and they are this big triangular mess that is not scone.
Perhaps I am on the wrong coast. We don't have any compost toilet showrooms either.

I wanted to let you all know that I am totes friends with Morgan's (the dovetail laday) sister... and that means that sometimes I get boxes of stuff they didn't sell at dovetail that day. Including scones. And it also means I get to say 'Hey!' in a familiar manner to the very cute Morgan. Yep, it's okay to be jealous!

I'll be scooping the litter box for Zelda. I'm pretty sure everyone is fourteen kinds of jealous of me.

So maybe meet up Tues? My dates are obviously flexible based on others' schedules.

Yes, tomorrow (Tuesday) is ideal for me. I'm off most of the day.

I dearly love the idea of Big Lebowski and White Russians, but I don't think anyone is surprised by that.

(in fact, I have most of a bottle of vodka, coffee liqueur, and a half a case of soymilk in my apartment right now.)
