I recently got the heads-up about two pizza options in San Jose. (I already knew about Amici's, but variety is good!) Perhaps most excitingly, Plant-Based Pizza is a completely vegan pizza place on Meridian Avenue! I happened to see their ad on the first page I opened in the Metro, and I'm dying to check it out. The Yelp reviews are decent. I really want to support an all-vegan pizza place. :) Patxi's Pizza at the Pruneyard in Campbell also has vegan options, including their deep dish. God that deep dish looks good. So, anyone had 'em?

I've been to Paxtis in SF and love it! We ate there way too often when we lived in SF. We typically asked for light cheese, because I thought the amount of Daiya they used was over the top.
I am anxiously awaiting reviews of Plant Based Pizza.

Love Paxtis. We go to the Campbell and Palo Alto ones a lot!
I'm excited about this new place! Maybe I'll try to check it out this weekend :) The menu looks good! They have vegan calzones!!!!

What's with Veggie Grill and Plant-Based Pizza opening just months after I move from SJ? Hmph.

I just went to Plant-Based Pizza for lunch! I had a spinach salad, which was good if a little plain (spinach, red onion, mozz daiya, olives, tomatoes + dressing) but I like plain. I split a 10" 5-veggie with my boyfriend and it was really good - the crust was just the right thickness and chewiness, and the sauce was good. It was nicely-decorated though they were doing the Supreme Master-kinda deal with a TV showing a constant infomercial about farming and meat-eating and health. I had their flan which was acceptable. I'll be going back, since it's a 5-minute drive from my work.

My hubby and I and our little guy (almost 4) went here a few weeks ago and loved it! We got the Mediterranean and loved it. It had pesto, mushrooms, basil and not too much cheese, just a small amount. The crust was super yummy. A word of warning, this has cilantro on it, which I don't mind, but my husband hates. It is not listed as an ingredient. We talked to the owner and he is super nice. We live about 10 minutes away. I really hope this local place does well. One other thing worth mentioning is there is very limited seating. To me, this is more of a take out place than a dine in.
