Hey dorks!
Who's gonna be there this weekend? I'm going to go on Saturday morning... Even bringing along Musty, who has miraculously expressed interest in joining me. So, who's gonna be vegging?

I'm actually going to be working the Pansy Maiden booth for Laura this year! I will wind up buying all of the bags. I know it.

Maybe! This is the first year in a while I'll get to go to Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, so I think I'll go there, and I may pop in to vegfest since I'll be in the area. When will you be around, Amey?

Ooh, I had no idea this was happening! I will definitely have to check it out. I'm also planning to do Hardly Strictly, so this is going to be a busy weekend.

Is it weird that I'm actually vaguely contemplating the speed dating? Eek.

musty and I are coming up early - to get into the festival free (before 10:30)... and I doubt we'll be there much longer than 1:00 or so. Then I was thinking of going to some museum for some art time. Maybe the Legion of Honor? I'm undecided. Then, Rainbow Grocery (Always!), maybe a dinner date, and home. I'd love to see you Jordan!

If anyone wants to meet up, let me know. I'm pretty flexible and would be happy to hang out at either Vegfest or Hardly Strictly. Mike may or may not be in tow.

It looks like the south bay gang is going to be there around 10:30. We're going to make a field trip to Rainbow and probably get some dinner.

Does anyone else want to grab dinner?

I'm thinking about it. I really want to go Saturday because I want to see Broken Social Scene at Hardly Strictly, but I have to work that night. Damn it. I might go Sunday instead, even though I'm not as excited about the bands that day. Or I might blow off work on Saturday. I don't know! It's annoying that they waited so long to release the line up, so I didn't know which day to request off work.

Is Veg Fest worth attending? I've never been, and I'll be driving in from Sacramento if I do decide to go.

I'm interested but don't really get what it is, even after looking at the website. Basically I want to know if I can walk around and eat free samples ?

I did speed dating last year and had a good time! Sure, it's kinda goofy, but everyone knows that, and you do meet a lot of interesting people. I'd recommend it.

It's just a bunch of vegan stuff, with informational, food, or product booths. There are free samples, plus fun stuff to look at, and there are speakers/presenters and cooking demos. It's fun to go for like an hour! I guess longer if you want to see a talk.

Thinking about it, but probably not... I should stay home and rest and start doing stuff for MoFo.

I liked VegFest last year, when I wasn't working! If Flacos is there that's reason enough.

Wish I could come with you, Amey!

BTW, if you've ever wanted to buy a Pansy Maiden bag (which you should, because they're great) we're doing a promo at the fest. Receive $8 off any purchase under $100 (to off-set the suggested donation at the door) or 10% off purchases over $100. All you have to do is mention it to me and it's yours!
