Possibly the first time in my life that I've chosen pistachio over chocolate +pb. I must never never never walk near that booth again. it was goooooooooooooooooooood, and not insanely sweet.

I always see them at the Sunday Mountain View market but I have yet to try it. This thread may convince me to shell out the $3.

It's BLOOD ORANGE season!! They have one variety out now, two more to come as the very short season progresses. Apparently these are the best of the best -- urban legends tell of people who buy 50 cartons of blood orange so they can have it all year.
I don't know about that kinda hype, but if you are a blood orange fan, it might be worth your time to pick up a carton before they're out!

Just wanted to say I found out about Scream Sorbet from this thread and have already gone multiple times. It's so awesome. I like Maggie Mudd, but this does seem better (though different as described above.) Since the subject is vegan ice-cream/sorbet, I should mention Buy-Rite in SF, another good one. But yeah, not only is Scream Sorbet a great new business (the storefront at least) to support, not only are the flavors so diverse it more than makes up for the lack of mix-ins, but on top of all that it's in OAKLAND!!!!!! And I do mean that in a positive way. Thanks for letting me know about the place!

We went this weekend, I got the maple walnut and vegimator got the coconut thai basil. Let's just say that vegimator one of us had restraint and self control and did NOT eat their entire container in 15 minutes, and certainly not maygles the other was a sorbet glutton.

I got some cashew caramel and some blood orange this weekend. In a remarkable show of restraint, I have only eaten half of each container so far.

Yeah but I ate the remaining half the next day. Those containers are small!

Seriously... Those containers ARE small. Too small, if you ask me. They should have gallon tubs for sale!
Oh geez, I wonder how much one of those would be...

They're not coming back to the Santa Cruz farmer's market until winter is over. Or at least that's the word on the street. Broken Heart Street. Which is where I live now, because they're not here peddling sorbet.

Or if you're absolutely desperate, you could drive up to the Mountain View farmer's market... If I were in Santa Cruz, I would totally do that I'd never do that.

I went yesterday, and I only noticed it because it's at the same location as a window store where I used to work (that business left that location because of financial trouble)! Imagine my happiness. I got chocolate hazelnut and strawberry shortcake. The guy working there was sooo nice. He gave me a sample of most of the flavors. Good stuff!

They've been back at the Santa Cruz market for some time now. But... With a different guy selling for them. This guy seems really not into his job and not excited about sorbet. Maybe I just always catch him at a bad time. I liked our former guy more.
They had strawberry shortbread sorbet yesterday which was totally excellent, though.

ohhhhhhh, that strawberry shortcake is awesome. I wish they did mix-ins because it would be extra good if they mixed fresh (or frozen) strawberries in... but I guess I just have to mix them in myself.

They are back at the Castro farmers market for those of you needing a fix on Wednesday nights. They are also at the whole foods in the upper haight.

ooh yeah! that strawberry shortcake is the shiitake. I tried it when last I was in town, and made the BF go out and buy more to keep til I get back. I really liked the Ollalieberry (or is it olallieberry?) too.

Are they at the Castro markets every week?? I am in San Francisco from today until Thursday afternoon, but would make sure to go to the markets if they would be there! Are they anywhere else??

While I don't normally go to the Castro FM, I do know Scream is always at the Farmer's Market at the Ferry Plaza 10am - 2pm on Thursdays, if you can make it then.
Also if you're going to be in Oakland at all, their storefront is open every day... It's on Telegraph at 51st Street (address is 5030 Telegraph Ave), from 12pm-10pm

They weren't at the Santa Cruz farmer's market this week! I was all looking forward to a double scoop too. :(

http://insidescoopsf.sfgate.com/blog/20 ... r-options/I just grabbed a pint of Peanut Vanilla this weekend! I have loved them since they first showed up at the Grand Lake farmers market. This coming weekend might be their last. Unless I magically buy all the sorbets? :(
