So Herbivore has a new menu. They now have gardein and daiya, which means cheesesteaks, pizza, and chicken caesar salad. I had the salad yesterday and it was out of control. My mom had their mac and cheese, which has a delicious sauce. However, I wasn't blown away by the tacos or the cheesesteak.
I know most folks hate Herbivore but I thought the new menu was worth a shot. Anyone else been?

I've always liked their sandwiches, so I'm not a complete hater! I tried a chicken quesadilla and it was pretty good, and I don't even like Daiya. I wish it came with more salsa though. Maybe I would ask for that instead of the sour cream they give you. Dumping cream on top of cheese sounds like a nightmare.
They've had the chicken caesar on the menu for a while and I thought it was kind of bland (definitely not Fellini's...RIP). The pizzas are made on lavosh which sounds like a bad idea.

Glad to hear that the Mac and cheese has had a face lift! The old recipe was really weird and soupy.

I admit to really liking the Herbivore menu revamp! This is HIGHLY uncharacteristic of me. I've been vegan for 15 years and the new menu is a wonderful breath of fresh air, in my opinion. I'm not into the vegan cheezy options, but the kids like it. I like that you can now order combos at brunch just like at all those non-herbivorous places. I don't know why missmuffcake is always getting sick, I don't remember the last time I was sick at all, let alone from a restaurant. Green juice + shawarma = great.
