The playground area seems to be about general kid and baby topics, so I thought I'd look at the SF square here to find other vegan families but it seems maybe everyone here either doesn't have kids or doesn't like to talk about them (which I'd understand...). Anybody have kids (3yo+)?

SF area people mostly post in the playground... We're in Santa Cruz and that's where we post, anyway.

We are in the north bay but I generally post in the playground. My baby is 10 months though.

My son is 18 months this week. He's vegetarian, not vegan. It's a source of frequent discussions between my wife (omni) and me... I'm impressed if anyone actually has raised vegan toddlers. That's really going against the social grain, in my experience. I'm hoping he (my boy) will decide to be a vegan once he's able to think about it and discuss it, but who knows.

Grey is also going to be vegetarian. He has been mostly vegan since he was born besides the goats milk formula when I was having supply issues. I was friends with the goats so I figured it was better than alternatives.

I'm a vegan nanny, who wishes she could find a vegan family to work with! I went on meet and greet with a family the other day, and the wife said to the husband, who came into the conversation a bit late "She's vegan, but not one of those militant vegan's". After we'd talked for all of 5-10 minutes. Sheesh!

Not sure what neighborhood you are in, but there is a really great playground for little ones on Valencia near 19th. From Valencia, it looks like it's just a small structure playground, but walk in the back past the soccer and tennis courts and you'll see a little kids paradise. It's a sand pit with lots of fun big toys to play on. It's awesome, really. And of course there's always Dolores Park, though I worry about the little kids sometimes with the all the big ones going full steam.
