It's... weird. We went once when they first opened. Food is okay, but takes a while to come and the atmosphere is pretty crappy. The outdoor seating stuff is like found plastic patio furniture. I'd probably still go back if the food was anything special, but it wasn't.

If you want awesome Indian, go to Saffron Grill in San Francisco and ask for the vegan menu. It's amazing food and the nicest family owns it.

Well, you might be disappointed then because they don't have naan at Udupi. Great dosas and uthappams though!

When I go with Maygles, I get the Spring Dosa and she gets the Pineapple Uttapam.

We went to Udupi last night. It was good! After ordering vegan stuff - our meal still came with dairy yogurt, when we asked what it was and that we ordered vegan, he just took it away, so maybe next time I have to say vegan a lot more?
