Massive shootout right behind the Whole Foods!

That's the Whole Foods we walk to sometimes. It's about 5 blocks from home. Right now I am home with the kids making them dinner as helicopters circle above us. I am quite tense, and they are whiny and clingy, respectively. It's pretty awesome.

Oh my gosh. That's so scary, especially when it is close to home. Hopefully your kids can calm down soon :(

Those poor officers. What a sad story.

It's been calm for a while. They're doing press conferences and things, but I don't have a TV on which to watch them so news is filtering in... I got the kids to sleep, and then just hung around occasionally refreshing the Sentinel page.

It's weird-- Santa Cruz is a small enough town that you can overhear, walking down Pacific Ave, everyone talking about the same thing.
