Hi Everyone,
I will be visiting the Bay Area with my family next month. They are all omnis with zero interest in going to an all vegan/vegetarian restaurant. (Major bummer, I know. There are so many I want to try, but this is not the group if you catch my drift.)
Does anyone have any recommendations for restaurants that have vegan options and a view of the Bay Bridge (or is within walking distance to a view)? We'd like to see the light show.
Thanks so much!

I liked both the Slanted Door and The Plant Cafe, but which side are you watching from?

Be sure to make reservations if you want to go to Slanted Door. And request a seat by the window. The Plant would be my choice because I've had bad experiences at Slanted Door but The Plant is always awesome. If they are both busy, Market Bar can make you a few things.
Enjoy the view of the bridge, it's all lit up and fancy!

Thank you both so much. The menus for both look wonderful. I think The Plant Cafe looks like it will nest fit the bill for everyone
And I love that they mark the vegan options with a V. It will definitely help wiard of negative commentary to eat at restaurants that have markedoptions as opposed to going somewhere they pick and having to concoct a sad little meal out of base ingredients.
I've read good things about Encuerto in Oakland as well. I may have us all go, since everyone loves a wine bar, and just not mention it is veg since the name doesn't give it away. LOL. That may be playing with fire though.

I love the Plant Cafe! I go there a lot because it really does make everyone happy and the prices are reasonable. I bring people there all the time.
Encuentro is AMAZING. It has absolutely zero view, though. The view is of the Amtrak terminal in Oakland. It's a really great choice, though!

Fantastic! My mom loves wine and my burger-loving brother said he likes Encuerto, so I definitely think we can do both.
My brother actually lives in Martinez, but he knows we want to spend some time in Oakland/Berkely/SF.
Thanks for your help, everyone.
