I feel like such a hip young thing, not only was I early to the party on Pizza Moda, but I got in on one of the Olde Depot's first weeks open...

the Olde Depot is right next door to Beer Revolution (same owners) and two doors down from Souley Vegan, on 3rd at Broadway in Oakland. It is an all-vegan German-style bar and grill! They have a decent beer selection of about a dozen drafts (but of course there are literally hundreds more next door if they don't have what you want), PLUS PIEROGIES. They also have pretzels, pommes frites with a million delicious sauces, currywurst, other snausages, and DID I MENTION THE PIEROGIES? I had the 'smoked' sausage with grilled onions and peppers, and I thought it was going to melt in my mouth. Delectable!

I ran into Maygles on the sunny beautiful patio. I look forward to spending many more drunken debauched sausagey afternoons with her there!

Me too! The cherry sausage Maygles brought home for me (along with the amazing pierogies) was delightful. This is going to be my new favorite spot, especially if patio seats are easier to come by than they are at Beer Revolution.

Ahhaha, I was checking to see if anyone had been yet! Sweet!

I am super excited about the PIEROGIES.

We went yesterday about 3-ish, it was so crowded and no one was eating, the menu had a bug on it, we were not even seated...to chaotic for me. :/ I might go back if there is ever a gentler time!

I saw my super awesome hairstylist last night, and apparently Olde Depot has been real hit or miss lately! The pierogies are no longer on the menu (which now sounds enormous and kind of confusing) and while she had disgusting onions rings, her friend went the very next day and said the onion rings were the best he's ever had.

Yeah, I was bummed to see that pierogies are off the menu now. I hope the onion rings don't suck when I go next because I will definitely be ordering them.
