I can't believe there isn't a topic on this in The Square yet! I finally earned my B-card, y'all. I've been living in (or adjacent to) Berkeley for 7 years now and I finally made it to the Sunday brunch at Wat Mongkolratanaram (say that three times fast).

If you're unfamiliar, it's a Thai Buddhist temple that does up a huuuuuuge amount of food every Sunday. You go get tokens for money and "donate" the tokens for the food. There is meat served but also a great (and separate) selection of vegetarian and vegan curries. There's also a vegan papaya salad and these amazing heavenly taro and coconut fritter things that uuuugggggh so goooood.

Anyone else been?

I haven't been. I just moved back from NY earlier this year. I'm planning to move to Albany around the beginning of Nov. I'd be happy to go with you Erika, if we could plan something out =)

O man, I used to go when I was a student. The food is so good! I don't actually even remember there being any meat so clearly it was so good it has zapped the memory of meat from my mind.
