June 28th as I celebrate my bday it will also be Vegan pizza day! I was thinking of contacting a few places to see if they can do any vegan specials...I usually get pizza for my bday so....

What is your fave bay area spot?

Mine: Pizza Moda, the pizza is good, the kale salad is awesome and the place is clean with a great staff/owner. For deep dish I like Zachary's!

Happy birthday!!

Those are two places I never heard of! I'mma check them out.

I only get Paxtis these days if I go out for pizza. And I still haven't been to the vegan pizza place in San Jose but it's supposed to be very good!

I often forget that DNA pizza has vegan pizza and is open 24 hours! I like Pizza Moda, Amici's, and Patxi's, too. I know Escape from NY has daiya now but I have yet to try it and don't remember what it tastes like from my teen years.

Bobby G's and Lanesplitters are OK (I actually really prefer the Lanesplitters calzone), but I'm just not really into their house-made ricottas.

And of course there's always Zante's Indian pizza for something different.

I just discovered this place called Blaze last night--one location in Fremont and one in San Jose. There are a few near Sacramento and southern CA too. They have daiya and gf crust. I thought they were really good! The sauce and crust were top notch. We are lucky to have loads of veg-friendly pizza places around here but I wanted to share this one as well since it's a little more fast foody and is a nation wide chain. It's order at the counter, $7.50 (+$2 vegan tax for daiya) for a personal pizza with unlimited toppings.
