I'm thinking of making the trek down to Philly from New Brunswick at least once for the events. Any tips or insights on what the best events/places to check out are? I'm already really familiar with Monk's and Teresa's Next Door in Wayne. I did my undergrad out on the mainline, but that was mostly before my beer geek days.
I really want to check out the Memphis Taproom, but I hear its awful when it's crowded.

Memphis can be crowded but no worse than Monk's in my opinion. They are also having a vegan dinner/beer pairing a night. last year i tried to go to a bunch of the brewery events where one of the head brewers would come out, talk about the beer, and usually pour you some beer that you couldnt always get in philly. Belgium Cafe (same owners as Monk's) had some great events, one of my favorite was with the brewers from Unibroue and Nogne-0.

Thanks for the info! I'm going to check out the Memphis Taproom for sure now.
Nogne-O is amazing, all around. I'm an especially big fan of their Two Captains Double IPA.
Edited for a typo.

Yah nogne-0 is amazing. We had theyre Sunturnbrew a smoked barley wine and it was phenomenal. I know Monk’s is having atleast one new beer event, I think a lambic but I forget. I remember the abbayye had a few good events I went to with some great Belgian brews and they also have some great vegan wings and other eats. When do you plan on coming down for it?

I think Friday. I heard about a Mikkeller 25 tap party which pretty much is a dream for me. Mikkeller is my favorite brewery (technically Mikkelller is a gypsy brewer, but ) in the world. It's at the Farmer's Cabinet, which doesn't seem to be very vegan friendly, so we'll probably also check out what's going on at the Memphis Taproom, Monk's and The Abbaye. I might make it down for events between the 10th and 12th, because I have a big deadline to meet on the 9th.

If anyone wants to meet up at Monk's this Friday for the US Debut of Tilquin Gueuze please let me know! It's only from 12-1pm, but I really want to try it.
