I love the idea of a whole kingdom, but alas, it's just a restaurant. There's NEVER anyone in there. I quite like their hot pots (esp. the "stewed beef" below) and their tofu and vegetable soup promises what it delivers. Am I missing something? Is Harmony so much better?

That does look good! But yes, Kingdom has gone downhill. I hate the atmosphere in there, they turn on the overhead lighting so it feels like a school cafeteria. New Harmony IS so much better- better food, atmosphere, a nice crowd, Ming, and vegan treat donuts!

I am a huge fan of New Harmony. Ming, the owner is what made Kingdom, Kingdom. Since he sold that place and spent all his time in New Harmony, Kingdom is not the same as it used to be. That being said, New Harmony absolutely rules. There is an existing thread not too far back where I expressed my love, so I won't go into all that again. But I must say, after eating at many of the better vegan chinese restaurants in this country (in NYC, DC, Brick NJ (yeah Sentosas! Worth the 1.5 hour trip across the bridge), Seattle, the Bay Area, LA, everywhere except Grasshopper in Boston, I'd love to go there sometime), I'd still have to say that New Harmony was my favorite.
