If you guys want a fun drinking game, watch the 10pm news on MyPHL 17 and drink when Lori Wilson screws up. As is the case with her appearances on the regular NBC news (I think it's the same show), Lori Wilson cannot get through 10 seconds of speech without flubbing noticeably. So awful! How did she get to be a newscaster? Just fyi.

$10 for $20 at Red Hook Coffee & Tea in Queen Village - http://t.co/1e60LjP (#vegan friendly) (that link is for the "3 of your friends buy, you get it free" thing. clicky here if you're new to buywithme, cause you'll get $5, but if you're already a member if you can click above, that'd be lovely.) https://www.buywithme.com/ref/4VKU99TS? ... urce=RAFLIpost your link too if you buy it. i'll let you know if there have been 3 people that click my link, and in that case, stop clicking my link and click the next person's link. maybe we can get a chain of free deals. <3 and then i'll post your link on twitter once i have 3 clicks. (if i get 3 clicks that is.)

I am accidentally visiting my parents in rural MD for a week, and I miss Philly. There are too many bugs here, and I ran over an animal. Now I hate the country even more, and I never want to drive again.

Haha I don't know about yours but my power just tends to go out when it rains. (The cable ALWAYS does.)

oh. haha! it went out for at least an hour. (i was busy cobbling my coupon binder together and didn't realise that the power was out until it started getting warm and dark. heh.) mr. carrot was dead asleep on the futon, so he didn't notice, obviously.

it's more like scoutmob, but with more rules. but make sure you use a code that makes the "coupons" more than 80% off. (those codes come around all the time.) i've been considering putting together a master list of current vegan and vegan-friendly restaurants that go through restaurant.com, but that'll be a big undertaking. not to mention, lots of restaurants pull out from the program. i bought a bunch for govindas a few years ago, and then they pulled out. but luckily i am able to use the credit on other restaurants. i'm just sad that i can't use it on govindas anymore. *weep* i haven't browsed the philly listings in a while. it's kinda frustrating that they don't have an accurate "vegetarian" selection box. ok, rant over. :-p http://www.retailmenot.com/view/restaurant.com::Edit: ok, i took a look. :-) for example, both penang and casona in NJ are vegan friendly, but aren't listed in the vegetarian cuisine category. (which is an issue in and of itself. considering that the gluten-friendly section is in the "special features" section. in philly, they have a full plate, ethio, (in fact, i wish i had known before i used my groupon credit on all 4 of those places. heh.) and the only one listed under vegetarian was pita pit. (they know how to market themselves.)

Oh thanks you are sweet! It's not like that, my lease is just up soon, but I can't find something not shittastic for the proper times that isn't beyond my budget. I can live at home with my parents if I need to for a few months, but I really want to find something in the city since I work so late. Argh. I <3 GK though you are so kind.

That stinks! You dont like the place your in anymore? When do you have to be out?
You sure you dont want to come here? I have a screaming, moody, needy, prima donna cat just waiting for someone new to give her attention!
I dont blame you for wanting to stay in the city. Did you look in Fairmount?

I have till the end of July. Aw man I'm allergic to cats! :) I don't really know Fairmount well so I should look! Thanks for the tip! Like near the art museum and/or Whole Foods (that would be cool) or farther out?

Joe used to rent a room on 11th and Wallace (i think). So a little further out. But still walkable. Its def worth while to look. Hes been out of the city for a long time, so im not sure on pricing these days. Look for signs hanging from buildings and in windows when you are walking around!
Hope you find something soon!

what's your price range? my brother has a duplex at 26th & parrish that he rents out for $900/month. i have no idea if it has a vacancy, but if that's in your range, i can ask him.

Yeah I'm not an idiot I'm on craigslist 24/7. :) People tend not to respond in a timely manner or at all. Boolsheet. Also, I can't move to a street I don't recognize bc that means it's too far from work. Sigh
